The Thornhill Reds moved to 2-1 on the young GTBL season, with a 6-3 road win at the Newmarket Fairgrounds on Thursday night.
Mack Major(1-0) fired five solid innings, allowing just a solo home run in picking up the win. Kris Fielding led the offence with a 4-4 night, which included a double and two RBI. Sean Sutton also had a good night, going 2-3 while walking twice and scoring two runs.
Lee Choiniere, Pat Orr and Zach Lampreia were all effective out of the bullpen for the Reds, with Orr throwing one inning and striking out the side.
Thornhill has a little time off before hosting Martingrove next Wednesday at Bishops Cross in their next GTBL action.
