The Thornhill Reds fell behind early, trailing 11-4 in the fifth inning against the East York Bulldogs, but the bullpen shut the door the rest of the way allowing the Reds to storm back and win it 12-11.
Russ McGibbon delivered the game winning single, plating two Reds in the three run ninth. Kravice Batts(1-0) worked a scoreless ninth to pick up the win, following Mitch Sutton's scoreless eighth and an impressive two inning performance from Eric Wakeman, all which gave the Reds a chance to win the ball game.
Thornhill is back at it Thursday, when they visit Talbot Park for the first time in 2018 for a date with the Leaside Leafs.
