The Thornhill Reds added a slew of talent in the off season, and are ready to go for 2026.
With Baseball Ontario expanding the senior roster count to 30, Reds manager Nolan Revin set to work to bolster his club. Besides returning all his main pieces for 2025, Revin will get a healthy Chadwick Cameron to anchor his pitching staff and an injury free Anthony Silvera, who's offense was sorely missed last summer. Team captain Argenis Paz also returns for another campaign to lead some youth and newcomers, while leadoff man and Reds sparkplug Kravice Batts will be manning center field once again, needing just five stolen bases to become the all time GTBL steals leader.
Dan Meron and Cory Levy are two big arms returning to Thornhill in 2026 as well, and both will be heavily relied on as key components of the Reds staff. Veteran Warren Kember is also on board once again, and will look to help guide a handful of youth through the long senior season.
Starting off the additions is SS Zach Lampreia, who returns to Thornhill after a one year hiatus in the IBL with Toronto, his excellent defense and baseball IQ make him a huge pickup for 2026.
Another former Red making a '26 return is LHP Brad Crone. The veteran hurler played a handful of seasons with Newmarket and Etobicoke before taking a couple summers off to coach. His poise and mound presence will be a valuable part of the Thornhill rotation.
Caleb Cain-Plante makes his way to Bishops Cross park in 2026 by way of Kitchener IBL, and will be a force in the Reds order and see some mound time as well for Thornhill.
Another exciting pick up for the Reds is 23 year old RHP Wyatt Thompson, who won the MVP and Pitcher of the Year award in the North Dufferin junior loop in 2025. After a college career at Thomas College in Maine, he'll toe the rubber for Thornhill in 2026.
Max Jewuziak is a power hitting OF, playing his college ball at Midway University in Kentucky, he too has joined Thornhill for 2026, and should add some punch to the middle of the Reds lineup.
The Reds also add 6'8 LHP Luke Lance out of Monroe College in New York state, and the young southpaw will jump right into the mix for Thornhill in his rookie year.
Jordan Birfir U, Scott Lang 1B, Brian Lui LHP, and David Vargas RHP, round out the additions for Thornhill who now flaunt a deep roster brimming with talent.
Thornhill will attend the CABC Gold Bat tournament in Sarnia June 12-14, The Hap Walters COBA tournament in Milton July 17-19, and most importantly the National Qualifier Ontario championships July 31- Aug 3 in Windsor.
The Reds open the regular season on Wednesday May 13 versus Northumberland.
