With a full season expected for 2022, the Thornhill Reds look towards a year with big expectations. The Reds took part in two GTBL round robin tournaments in 2021, winning one while playing with a shell of what will be in the new year.

A handful of Reds played Intercounty baseball in 2021, some decided against the short schedule, and some continued to play both with Thornhill and some form of mens recreational baseball to keep themselves sharp. Headed back to the Reds for 2022 is IF/P Zach Lampreia, and RHP Mack Major, both who played with Brantford in the IBL this past season. The Reds have also added a trio of arms so far for '22, inking Danny Garcia(Dominican Republic), Cory Levy(UMBC D1), and former GTBL pitcher of the year LHP Mike Bannon.

Coach Revin will have the luxury of returning almost all his key pieces from the 2019 elimination tournament run, as ace RHP Chadwick Cameron, 2019 GTBL MVP Kravice Batts, outfielders Sean Sutton, Russell McGibbon, catchers Kris Fielding, Pat Orr, as well as SS Argenis Paz, Warren Kember, Max Dieks, Hunter Greenough, Andy Orfanakos, Mitch Sutton and Mitch Sadofsky will all return. LHP Adam Frydman is also poised to return to the Reds, and help on the mound. Missing from the 2019 club are RHP Josh Appel(coaching), and Ben Teplin(internship). RHP/DH Jaz Shergill is a question mark for 2022, but Thornhill is a possible destination for the much coveted veteran arm.

More player updates as we move through the winter months, look for some exciting news in the near future.
