The Thornhill Reds used six arms in a 5-4 home win against the Newmarket Hawks ahead of a weekend trip to Ottawa for Canada Day. Adam Jafine(1-0) worked the final two frames to pick up the win on a go ahead RBI double off the bat of second baseman Jeremiah Groulx who finished with two hits and two driven in.

Zach Lampreia, Mitch Sutton, Ben Brown and Hunter Greenough all chipped in with scoreless appearances in readying for the weekend workload.

 

Thornhill opens up Friday night against the Capital City Reds, Mack Major will get the ball game one looking to get the boys off to a good start.
